Life gave me lemons soooo…

I MADE LEMON CUPCAKES!

BUT... let's go back a little bit from the lemon cupcakes... I’ll fill you in on that in just a few.

I have always known I wanted to be in the health field somehow in some way. I graduated college with a Dietetics degree and literally got cooking! I was offered a unique job opportunity that allowed me to travel around the entire Southwestern AND Southeastern United States with everything but the kitchen sink packed into a Chevy Lumina. I worked for a publishing company calling on newspapers and radio stations doing cooking demonstrations while promoting national food sponsors. My largest audience was close to 1200 people...it was definitely fun, quite the learning experience, and not to mention...sometimes a little dangerous.

I 'accidentally' hitchhiked in the panhandle of Texas (the lumina didn't have a gas light and I ran out in the middle of nowhere), pushed dressers in front of motel doors for extra security (true hotels weren't in the budget), and drove 20 hours straight from Arizona to Arkansas because I was ready to be home in my own bed.

After my cooking demonstration life, I was in the pharmaceutical industry…right up until we had our son. I happily quit my job to stay home with our new bundle of joy. The unfortunate thing was, he was born right when the great recession started and we were in the construction business. SO, I needed a job but didn't want to go back to my corporate work... AND I missed food and nutrition...

Enter the lemon cupcakes!

I moved my family from Charleston, SC back to Arkansas where I owned and operated Arkansas' first cupcake bakery in Little Rock. As much as I loved and adored my little cupcakery, after 10 years, it was time to move on. I needed and wanted to get back on the healthier side of life. I still believe in the cupcake…to me it's a perfect form of BALANCE and portion control.

I dove back into Whole Health & Nutrition full force.

  • I am a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. I received my Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching Certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition

  • I extended my study and received a Hormone Specialist certification

  • I am also an ACE certified group fitness instructor

  • ACE Fitness Nutrition Specialist

  • 200hr RYT - Yoga training in Bali, Indonesia

  • Whole Health Institute Facilitator and Ambassador.

  • AND…still taking courses

I also personally deal with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, an autoimmune disease. That having been said... I have been around the block and back, & would be honored and excited to work with you or your group! Whole Health is a lifestyle not a quick fix. Accountability and partnership helps ensure success!
